WorldSkills Asia is an international non-profit organization of Asian Member Countries organized to promote quality technical skills and vocational education. The organization raises awareness on the importance of professional excellence and high-quality vocational education and training at Asian level. It aims to make the world better with the power of professional excellence and shows the value of skills through the recognition of skilled professionals, thereby demonstrating the great importance of quality skills in achieving personal advancement leading to accelerated and sustainable economic growth and stability of the community and the country.
WorldSkills Asia's mission of pulling together all Asian countries to promote peace, unity, camaraderie and brotherhood will also result to complementing each other's strengths and weaknesses and supporting each other towards innovation and development.
As an international movement, WorldSkills Asia will provide a platform for Asian educators, policy makers, industry partners and other organizations to get together and exchange insights, thoughts and ideas about new trends and inventions, enhancing the technical and vocational education and training standard, and possible collaboration with various institutions and organizations in order to leverage and build self-sustaining activities.
Focusing on the four major pillars of set programs: Promoting Skills, Education and Training, International Cooperation and Skills Competitions, WorldSkills Asia is envisioned to be the Asian Hub for skills excellence and development geared towards making a better world through the power of skills.
WorldSkills Asia’s foundation is to organize various educational projects and initiatives that will demonstrate the capacity for innovation and development of Asian region. We strengthen collaboration with the partners in order to leverage and build self-sustaining activities that is aligned and adopted to the Vision 2025 of WSI.
We are connected with WorldSkills to identify the outlined broad strategic goals for WorldSkills and its work in this Strategic Plan for 2025, specifically to:
- Provide a unique platform for Asian policy-makers, educators, industry partners and other organizations to get together and exchange thoughts and ideas about innovation, technical and vocational education and training and partnership possibilities.
- Raise ambition and opportunity in TVET in Asia for young people, employers, and societies.
- Enhance the quality of TVET in Asia provision through stronger connections to labor markets, employers, and economies.
- Assist in building the organizational capability of Asian Skills and the global competitiveness of its Members through skills.
WorldSkills Asia believe that setting up the core values is the first step in ensuring a smooth and quality movement of the organization.
