The main goal of WorldSkills Asia Juniors was to provide teenagers with an opportunity to find their drive and passion for the future. Youth aged 14-16 years took part in the Competition. Mobile robotics is a fast evolving, solutions-orientated industry within which robotics technicians/engineers have a significant and growing role. Mobile robotics is an important part of many industries, with applications in diverse sectors, including manufacturing, agriculture, aerospace, mining, and medicine. Robotics technicians or engineers can work in offices, at manufacturing plants, or in laboratories. They design, maintain, and develop new apps and conduct research to expand the application potential for these robots. The work begins with a strong focus on a specific business problem in a particular sector. For example, in manufacturing, there may be a need to increase capacity by creating robots for tasks that can be automated. Mobile robots may also be designed to explore areas that are inaccessible or dangerous for people.
